    You are supposed to find a medium who would help her to cross over to the afterlife. Until it happens the girl will stay within the house. She might not be bothered by this, but it denies her further progress on her way to enlightenment, so she should cross over. Hope this helps.

    From what I’ve seen on shows like Medium and Ghost Whisperer (which are fiction with some truth), try to help Mary figure out what unfinished business she has on Earth and help her finish that business. Don’t take my word for it.
