How to write an ironic essay on ghosts?

My teacher assigned us a creative essay, that needs irony. I got picked to do it about ghosts, (for Halloween) and i was wondering how would i go about doing this?

    Is this a story, or does it have to be non-fictional? I can think of a famous bible story involving a ghost, and it’s definitely ironic.
